I have always enjoyed Grumpy's the handful of times that I've been. The food has been really good, the level of service is appropriate, and I like the atmosphere. If pressed for something to complain about, I'll say that the burger I had seemed a little over-seasoned for my tastes. Luckily there's plenty of other good stuff for me to choose from.

The burgers are great, the fries are even better and the orange dipping sauce they give you is like crack... its' addicting. I also love their cups.. random, but I do.
After driving by Grumpy's a few times wondering what in the world that place was, I decided to try it out. I was extremely happy with the service and southern-style food. I hope they continue to have good service and make sure the waitresses and other employees aren't rude (like many other places around here). So far, I know i can always count on Grumpy's for reliable service and great food.
I recently discovered Grumpy's and was pleasantly surprised to find the patio tucked behind the building on Hwy 82. The crawfish were a bit small but had good flavor. The cheap pitchers of beer make the trip more than worth it!

The burger was pretty good but messy due to too much condiment usage. It was a nice size for the price. The fries were crispy but I didn't care for the dipping sauce. It has a hint of hot sauce flavor or something like that in it.

Atmosphere seems to be a great place to hang, particularly when the weather is nice.

I'll probably order something different on my next visit.
Here's my secret: last time I went, they gave us a taste of their passion fruit unsweet tea, and it is mighty, mighty tasty. Maybe it's on the menu now, but ask for it if it's not.

The only restaurant in town that offers gravy fries on the menu. Are they looking in my diary? The other reviews here have done a spot-on job; I just have my little things to add. My only disappointment is the nonexistence of the meatball sub, which is probably no longer on the menu now. I guess I'll have to just be happy with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ELSE.

The food is excellent, we had some problems with our order, but the server corrected it and more than made up for it. Very friendly. It seems they are ready and willing to go out of their way to make your experience the best it can be. They do need to get a liquor license though.
This is a great place to sit and enjoy for a while. With the comfort food, big-screen TV, and cheap pitchers of beer, it's irresistible. I was a bit disappointed with the "fish and chips," just because it wasn't my idea of the traditional fare. The catfish sandwich and fries were delicious anyway, and I'll definitely visit again.

Grumpy's boasts the best of all worlds, smoked meats, hotdogs, fish and chips, oh, and did I mention the Jumbotron on the patio? Great spot for watching MSU sports and sippin' on "recession" priced pitchers of Coors Light. Great all around!
Chili cheese fries? Yum! Onion rings? Yum! JumboTron-sized TV and tons of outdoor seating? Awesome! Plus $4 pitchers!

Good prices, good food, and a cool new place to hang out in Grumpy's Backyard.

I tried the "Grumpy" which is a pulled pork sandwich with hot BBQ sauce. It was very good, and if they gave me a fork with it I wouldn't have been quick as sticky when I left. Happy, but sticky.

I won't even mention the GIANT TV because there is no chance that you will miss it.
